Joan Thompson is a BPA (British Psychoanalytic Association) trained Psychoanalyst and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, with many years' experience, working with adults in private practice in London.
Joan works with both individuals and couples. Joan also supervisor’s clinicians working with Eating Disorders and has extensive experience working with Eating Disorders and other addictions, namely Gambling. She runs Eating Disorder and Gambling addiction groups. She also works with depression, anxiety and relationship and emotional difficulties in adults.
Joan is interested in the area of film and psychoanalysis and is currently the Joint Film Editor of the IJP - International Journal of Psychoanalysis. She founded the BPA Film Society in 2011 and organises regular films screenings and Q&A’s between directors and psychoanalysts in London.
Joan is a BPA Board Member - Chair of Outreach, and previous Editor of the BPA Bulletin.

Kirstie Ashdown is a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults in private practice. She trained at WPF Therapy. Tessa Ettedgui is an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. She trained at The Minster Centre and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She holds an advanced diploma and MA in integrative psychotherapy and is registered and accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Daniel Goldschmied is a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist who works with adults in private practice, offering therapeutic support to individuals seeking to explore and address personal challenges. Peter Slater is a Tavistock Clinic trained child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapist and is also an adult psychodynamic psychotherapist having trained at University of Westminster. He works in private practice in Central London and is Course Lead and Lecturer for the Tavistock Clinic’s Introduction to counselling and Psychotherapy Programme.
He is a full member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) and the British Association of Counselling (BACP). Since 2008 he has worked in private practice with adults, children, adolescents, parents families and couples. Maranda Yee Tak Sze, PhD is an adult psychoanalyst trained at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, and at the Institute and the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research as a parent-infant psychotherapist. She also received training and works under supervision with children and adolescents. She is a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKPC) and the American Psychoanalytic Association.
